Declaration of Aims

This magazine has been formed to offer an open and challenging attitude towards Christianity, provoking discussion within it but also extending beyond it. It aims to provide a forum and a mouthpiece for concerned Christianity in its broadest sense.

Subscriptions and Membership

Elsewhere in this edition of Christis you will find a Subscription and Membership form to return to us.

The annual Subscription to Christis costs just 1 pound (internal mail and Heslington Church) or 2 pounds (by post). This gets you the subsequent 4 issues of 1989/90.

Membership of the Society costs 1.50 and includes an internal mail subscription for the year ( 2.50 if you want it posted). Membership also entitles you to a say in the direction of Christis and involvement in the production process — including regular production meetings. We encourage you to take out membership as this broadens our base and greatly helps our financial security. All cheques should be made out to York University Christis Society.

If you know of any events taking place in the York area which may be of interest to readers of Christis, we will be happy to advertise them.

Letters, articles and correspondence should be sent to: Christis pigeonhole, c/o Langwith College Porter’s Lodge, University of York, York, YO1 5DD.
