Editorial

Christis aims to challenge its readers with the realization that faith and trust in Christ involves more than a couple of hours on Sundays. To do this, we invite articles from people with a wide range of experiences and attitudes in their faith; the result is that sometimes an article will startle (to say the least) those of us who commit our efforts to publishing the magazine. No doubt some of what you read will surprise (if not shock) you, but hopefully some will also inspire, encourage and even help you in your approach to God and Christianity. We would be grateful for your opinions or reactions to any of the views that you find printed in Christis.

A major policy decision has been taken regarding the funding of Christis. The charge of 30p per issue has rendered a number of potential outlets effectively inaccessible. From next issue, therefore, our funding will be entirely by donation. As Christis costs at least L 100 per issue, it can be readily appreciated that this decision is a considerable act of faith. If you would like to help Christis continue, please consider what contribution you could make — we would be truly grateful.
