The Inquisition

This issue we interview people at different stages of their university careers, to see how views and expectations change over these few years. Sadly, unlike last time, we didn’t get a free meal out of it

Describe God in three words
Love and Life

Increased intellectual capability, renewed faith, good friends. And a love for daytime TV!

What is the best thing about York (the city)?
The buses!

What is the best student meal or recipie?
Home-made pizza

If God was a York University college, which one would he be and why?
Halifax, as it has a good community atmosphere and sense of belonging.

What do you think the future holds for you?
Struggling but doing my best to build the kingdom of God.

…and for the University?
Becoming some sort of mega complex, with a tram.

…and the Church?
Hopefully a revitalised Church ready to engage with a post-modernity ready to engage with the kingdom of God.

Andrew’s Pizza Recipe

Tomato Sauce
Fry chopped onion and garlic. Add chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar, a bay leaf, and basil. Simmer on a low heat.

The Base
Mix 3oz marge and 12oz self-raising flour until it resembles bread crumbs, add milk until a dough is formed.

And to finish
Roll out, spread with tomato sauce. Add cheese, garlic sausage, sweet- corn, tuna, and whatever else you want. Bake on a medium heat until brown. It’s cheaper than buying pizza!

Everything, beautiful, accepting.

The independent shops, the Minster, and the friendliness of the people here.

Eden’s Court, as there is a great sense of community spirit, and it represents everything God is.

Your future?
No idea! To help a few people, and be the best person I can be.

The University’s future>
It will continue to grow — I hope this won’t spoil the feel of it, and that the sort of people who come here will continue to do so.

The future of the Church
I am naïve enough to feel links between the denominations.

Me, my new website all about it (www.fairtradeyork.com), the life in the centre of town at one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Best student meal?
Lasagne with fried breadcrumbs and beef sauce instead of mince! Wasn’t that bad.

If God were a college, which would he be?
Halifax, and he is!

Your future?
I’m having trouble seeing beyond 20 minutes.

The university’s future?
To inspire the masses, part two.

The future of the Church?
A dependancy on orthodoxy, algorithm based worship, a schism.
