Christians on Campus
Check your term-card in your pigeon hole for details of the
C.U. Programme. Watch out for posters on campus, too.
Meth-Ang meet in V037 every Monday at 7:30pm. This
term’s theme is “Behind the Pew … ”,
and deals with exploring social responsibility and responses to
social issues. The programme for the next few weeks is as
follows:

Friday Forum
A series of talks/discussions/seminars with a broad concern
to relate faith to the world in which we live. Meetings take
place in Heslington Church at 1:15pm. Contact: John

May 25th. A joint service with the College of Ripon &
York St. John will be held on top of the tower at the Minster.

- At 7:30pm at More House, Chaplain Tony Lestor will talk
on “The Carmelites”. Then we’ll be off down
the bar.
- Sunday
- Barbecue at 6:00pm in More House garden. Everyone
welcome. Members £1.50, Non-members £2.
Week 6:
- Tuesday
- More House, 7:30pm — Open-air treasure hunt around
campus.
As you shou1d have read the

must know all about Christian Aid … And week 3 is
Christian Aid week, and here s a list of all the things going
on in support of it:

- Bridge Collections on all bridges

- Display Stalls in Alcuin foyer
- May 17 (Wednesday)
- The Christis Christian Aid Scavenger Hunt!
Make a team of up to five people and race around tbe world
looking for all manner of obscure items (like dissertations
and things … ) Each person pays £1 to enter, and
everyone has a proverbial whale of a time. We meet in
Goodricke Porter’s Lodge at 2:00pm.
- May 18 (Thursday)
- “Aid & Trade” - Betty East, 1:15pm.
- May 19 (Friday)
- Fair Trade Market in Vanbrugh Dining Hall,
10:00am–4:00pm.

OK, so now we’re on to us. Erm, we could still do with
more peop1e! Meetings are still held
on Wednesday afternoons at 2:00pm, in G/045, and we
really don’t mind if you turn up.
Actually, we’ll be quite pleased, so why not give it a
go, eh? Please.
