Christis

Welcome to Issue 35

And a big hearty one too! Especially to all you Freshers out there who are currently experiencing the first few days of University madness — no doubt made all the brighter by picking up a copy of this rather stunning magazine. You know, if your first term turns out to be HALF as interesting and entertaining as the stuff on these fun-filled pages, you’ll have no worries (hardly). Have I sold it enough yet?

Christis is far more than the few sheets of hurriedly-stapled paper you hold in your hands though. We believe this type of University magazine is unique to York, and it basically aims to provide a space for discussion and debate of all things ‘Christian’; from theological theses (ish), to ‘a few thoughts I had in my Chemistry lecture’, we’ll have it — so get writing! In addition, there’s the jollity and excitement of our weekly meetings (Wednesdays 2:00 G/045), where you can get involved in the production side of things. Nothing too strenuous — a bit of a laugh really. New members are always welcomed with open arms — at least it means someone else to do the donkey work.

So don’t just read Christis ; JOIN IT at the Fresher’s Fair. And don’t just join it; GET INVOLVED! It will be the best decision of your life, honest (aside from coming to York in the first place).

In the mean time, read on …
