Week 0

Bread and soup lunches, every day this week 12 — 14:00 in More House.

Wednesday 8th:
International students meet, 19:30 at More House.
Thursday 9th:
Ghost tour of York, meet 19:00 at More House.
Saturday 11th:
Free showing of Ransom, 19:30 (I think), at More House
Sunday 12th:
First official mass of term, 11:00, L/036

Week 1

Tuesday 14th:
Free food! Cheese & wine party, 19:30 at More House.
Sunday 19th:
Wall walk after Mass, including pub lunch.

Week 2

Tuesday 21st:
Tuesday Talks & Thoughts: Anne Forbes — Poverty in Britain: Whose side are we on? 19:30 at More House.
Sunday 26th:
Sunday Lunch at More House, after mass

Week 3

Tuesday 28th:
Tuesday Talks & Thoughts: John Grogan (MP for Selby district, ie the university constituency) — Why I am still a Catholic. Time and venue to be confirmed.

Week 0

Saturday 11th:
First meeting in Alcuin dining room at 18:15 followed by a ceilidh.

Other weeks

Saturday:
Meeting with speaker in Derwent JCR at 19:00

Open room, 14:00–17:00 in L/B014 — just drop in.
Friday 10th:
Pizza party at 19:30 in Heslington Church with free dessert.
Sunday 12th:
Walls walk from Central Hall at 14:00 with expert guide.

Week 1

Monday 13th:
First meeting with a university chaplain speaking at 19:30 in G/020

Other weeks

Monday:
Meeting, usually with speaker in G/020 at 19:30

Christis

We meet every Wednesday at 14:15 in V/119 to make some vague attempt at putting a magazine together and generally to have a laugh. Don’t think that you have to be a world class writer, artist, or sword swallower to join us (although if you are … ), just come along and have fun.

Pro Deo

Will be getting up to all sorts of arty type stuff, contact socs257@york.ac.uk to find out more or join them at the freshers’ fair.

Chaplaincy

16th October:
The Bible bounces back … , start of 7 open sessions at 19:00 in Bede House.
Wednesdays:
Midweek prayer at 13:15 in G/020
Fridays:
Student led night prayer in Heslington church at 22:00.
