Christians on Campus

Christian Union

The CU have their main meeting every Saturday at 7pm in V/045 to which all members of the university are welcome: Weekly prayer meetings are also held as well as small Bible study and fellowship groups at college level. Please contact the CU bods at socs25@york.ac.uk for more information or grab someone at any main meeting.

The Annual Retreat is happening at the end of week 5 to the Briery, in Ilkley.

The Catholic International Students weet at More House on Wednesdays at 7.30 pm for prayer then at 8pm have a meeting with the following themes.

MethAng

MethAng meet every Monday at 7.30pm in L/037:

Professor Michael Harrison speaking on issues surrounding the Internet

Professional actress Vicki Hackett leads a drama workshop

Also there is a trip to the Northern MethSocs conference in Sheffield at the end of week 5, and MethAng's weekend away to Robin Hood's Bay is at the end of week 6

ProDeo

  1. MURDER IN THE CATHEDRAL — Heslington Church — 25th–28th November 7.30pm. Tickets are 3–4 pounds and are available from Pro Deo. We still need some musicians and singers — if interested, please contact the society as it is a very exciting project!
  2. Dance Company is happening on Friday nights in Alcuin Dining Hall at 7.30–9.30pm It's free and open to people of all abilities!

Christis

Christis meets every Wednesday in D/112 at 2.15 to make some attempt to put together a magazine and have a laugh. Please come and join us. No artistic, computing, literary talent required (as you can tell!) but if you have it don't be shy!!!

Chaplaincy

“The Bible for beginners” continues every Thursday at 7.30pm in Derwent Terrace Room.

On the 24th of November, at 7pm there is the Chaplaincy covenant service in Heslington Church.
