The Thinker
Which is greatest, faith, hope or charity?

- Faith — obviously — as that’s my
sister’s middle name!
- Maybe if you had the faith to enjoy the present and be
fully present in it, you wouldn’t need hope … so
it’s either faith or charity!
- Thats easy! Charity — or love (depending on your
version) — at least, Paul thought so (see 1 corinthians
13:13) and I’d tend to agree with him!
- Charity. Certainly in Scrabble(TM) terms, anyway.
- For some, in some contexts, hope of something better
might be all they have … so hope would be primary!
- Faith — it’s Hope’s more focussed
cousin and the starting point for Charity of any kind. And
the glue that keeps Christianity together …
- Charity: it’s got more bite to it.
- I don’t know, but if we lose sight of any of them,
we are lost indeed.
- I’d say faith. In the past I’d have said
hope, because that’s what kept me going. Now it’s
faith. But maybe Charity comes next … who knows?
- One of my two Dads is entirely love, and from him I can
learn to have faith hope and charity.
