What we strive to form
in friends is in this verse
Someone to amuse and to watch amused
Nothing else but that you
Enjoy each other's company
God, for whom creation had to
be “good”
craved this
He could have made it
along with soil people and sunshine
But he'd rather that it came, unbidden,
when we come to understand
That all he was after,
all along,
is a relationship with mankind.
