An old acquaintance
We make the acquaintance of one of the original Christis writers… after 95 issues!
Dear Christis,
I’ve just discovered that my very old (Ed: it’s from issue 1, no less!) — though probably still relevant — article on homosexuality is on your website. So I thought I’d make contact — not least to say how pleasing it is to discover that Christis is still going 95 issues in! How did I discover about the article? My daughter, Alison, who was born while I was Chaplain at York is now at the University of Bath (1st year European Studies) — and for some reason she and a friend did a “Google” search on my name. The article in Christis was the first link to this Stephen Mares — as against baseball players and horses — and they are now about to use it to prepare a meeting for BANG — Bath Anglicans, but open to others also. That feels very strange — but shows the power of the web.
